We leave May 17th
We head out of Australia on the 17th of May which is this Sunday to come. We will arrive in Johannesburg and will visit with Pastor Chad and the Calvary Chapel ministry there. We hope to get the kids adjusted in the first few days and then travel over to Gaborone, Botswana and visit with our dear friend Dennis. Dennis was the second person to get saved in the ministry in Newcastle Australia and is a dear brother in the Lord. Dennis is blind and is deaf in one ear but has a tremendous trust and maturity in Christ which never ceases to amaze me. Tara and I plan on visiting with him and his family for a couple of weeks and possibly even leading some bible studies with him and his family. Both Dennis and we are very excited at the opportunity to catch up in Botswana. We then plan on flying up to Kenya and settling down there for the rest of our planned time in Africa. The Pastor David and his wife Twinkle have 2 girls similar ages to our own which should be a good thing for the kids adjusting process. I will begin by teaching for David from the start of June while he takes a team to minister to a remote tribe in the Congo. When the team returns back to Kenya, David and his family and us the Henderson clan will go on a family holiday to Mombasa on the coast of Kenya. Upon returning back to Nairobi from the family holiday it will be time to plug away at the ministry He has for us there with bible college courses starting up shortly after our arrival back. As of now I will be teaching Hebrews and the Pastoral Epistles. Tara will also hit the ground running when we arrive back in Nairobi with the previously mentioned ministries! The only other thing roughly planned at the moment is a trip to Israel joining up with a tour which is lead by Pastor Ray Bentley of Maranatha Chapel in San Diego.
